I’m doing some detailed painting around windows and trim, and my cheap brushes are leaving bristles everywhere. I’ve heard Oldfields makes good brushes, but are they worth it for small jobs? What should I look for in a brush?

For detailed work, a quality brush makes all the difference. Oldfields brushes are known for precision and smooth application, especially for trim. You can find some great ones at https://www.paintlab.ie/collections/oldfields that hold paint well and minimize brush marks. Look for angled sash brushes with synthetic bristles for water-based paints. They’re worth the investment for clean edges, and proper cleaning after use will keep them in top shape for future projects.
