The Diablo franchise is in a state of confusion at the moment. Diablo Immortal has been a runaway financial achievement for Blizzard however, Diablo's standing due to its questionable, and possibly excessive monetization. Diablo 4 has looked impressive in gameplay trailers and the like, though many players have expressed concerns it will mimic Diablo Immortal's microtransactions. Blizzard has tried to assure players about the microtransactions in Diablo 4 however we don't know for certain how they'll work until the game is out.
